Course Overview

This Kanji course is created to let learners enjoy the experience of learning to read and write this alphabet.

As a reading and writing course, the learners will also be exposed to some vocabulary words so they will see how and when Kanji characters are used.

Please note that unlike Hiragana and Katakana, there are thousands of Kanji characters being used in Japan. This course will teach learners the most used characters in everyday living in Japan.

This is a prerequisite for the “”Everyday Conversation 2″” and “”Basic Kanji”” course.”

Introduction

The Japanese alphabet is composed of 3 forms of writing:

• Hiragana
• Katakana
• Kanji

The “Basic Kanji” Japanese course is composed of lessons created to teach you the most basic characters that you can see in everyday living in Japan

Objectives

• To make the basic Kanji characters recognizable by the learners
• To teach learners how to read a certain character as is, and in combination with other characters
• To practice the learner’s reading skills
• To practice the learner’s writing skills

Justification

Learning all the thousands of Kanji used in Japan takes a lot of time and hard work. However, it would be best to learn one step at a time.

Content

This course will teach the form, way of reading, way of writing of all the characters of the basic Kanji characters.

Methodology

Visual and audio aids, executed in an enjoyable way, always make the learning process faster.
