Course Overview

Everyday Conversation 2 is a course carefully crafted to give more challenge to learners who have already taken our Everyday Conversation 2 course.

Some of the lessons are combination of the previous lessons, giving the learners the chance to experiment with their lanugage and communication skills. This will still be a listening and speaking course.

The Hiragana course and Katakana course are prerequisites for this course.

Introduction

The “Everyday Conversation 2” Japanese course is one level higher than the “Everyday Conversation 1” course. This offers words and phrases with a difficulty level higher than the first one.

Objectives

• To increase the level of the Japanese language skills of the learners from the first beginner course
• To increase the level of communication skills of the learners
• To increase the level of the learner’s listening skills
• To increase the level of the learner’s speaking and pronunciation skills
• To be able to read simple Japanese compositions
• To be able to write simple Japanese compostions using the Japanese alphabet

Justification

Practice is one of the best ways to learn language. Continued listening and speaking Japanese words, while improving their vocabulary at the same time, is one of the best methods of teaching.

2. Basic Expressions for Posters and Announcements
3. Direction and Place Expressions
4. Talking to the phone
5. Buying in a store
6. Reading a Short Composition
7. Writing a Short Composition

Methodology

Listening and repeating the words and phrases are still the basic methodology for this course. However, towards the end of the course, learners will also be given a chance to read a Japanese compositions. They will also be tasked to write a short essay, using the Japanese alphabet.
